Maesgwyn Holiday Lets is a small family business run by Lin and James Jones and our three children. We have been welcoming guests to our properties since 2014 when we diversified the farm. We are based on our 400+ acre farm in Mid Powys between Newtown, LLandrindod Wells and Knighton. We farm about 1200 sheep and 70 cows on a hill farm about 1100ft above sea level. James and Llewelyn (James’s dad) mainly look after things on the farm whilst Lin mainly focuses on the holiday lets.

If you need to unwind and totally switch off, Maesgwyn Holiday Lets offer the perfect break. At Maesgwyn it's all about the views. The setting provides the ideal opportunity to disconnect from the busy world, unwind, sit back and relax in the hot tub enjoying the unspoilt views by day or stargaze by night. In addition, it provides an excellent base to explore Mid Wales and beyond. Take advantage of the many walks and cycle routes the countryside has to offer. The properties sit close to the villages of Felindre, Beguildy and Llanbister, as well the River Teme, which winds across the Welsh/English border.
Maesgwyn farm is surrounded by beautiful, rolling countryside which is waiting to be explored. You can enjoy lovely walks from the doorstep around the farm, to Beguildy or along Glyndwr's Way or the nearby Kerry Ridgeway or Jack Mytton Way. An abundance of trails and cycle routes at Offa's Dyke provides fantastic views, and red kites can often be spotted. We also have a small fishing pool containing brown trout which you are welcome to fish but please return the fish to the water (after of course taking your celebratory photo!). No fishing equipment supplied.
James and Llewelyn will be happy to talk endlessly to you about the farm. Many guests enjoy watching the dogs and bikes work the sheep on the opposite hills, with a glass of wine in hand. Our sheep lamb outdoors, so if you are visiting during March and April you may also get the opportunity to see lambs being born in the neighbouring fields. James would be happy to answer any questions you have about the farm.
